I made some swirling patterns to get some texture into the middle part. I am going to go over it with a wash and get these colours to come through underneath.
I was concentrating on getting the brighter colours in the corner.
When painting I was wondering if there wasn't enough of the brighter pinks that I was putting in. But I think I will have a full decision by the time I have finished the middle and start to go over it with the wax medium. When making the darker colours I'm basing them in the red hues of brown to enhance the hot pink colours.
I think the green that Anna, and some other students picked up on was resolved more by putting in a bright red to balance it out, as these colours are on the opposite side of the colour spectrum. I think I still may put some darker greens in it to give it more form instead a mass of green. I'm still not sure about the cream area, but I will have a fuller picture when the middle mass of white is filled in.
Before I left the painting, I blended the top colours so they didn't look as harsh and was part of the same painting.
